Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently expressed admiration for former U.S. President Donald Trump, highlighting the respect he commands among global leaders and suggesting his potential to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
These remarks were shared during a conversation on the Lex Fridman podcast. Zelensky noted, “When I talk about something with Donald Trump, whether we meet in person or we just have a call, all the European leaders always ask, how was it?”
“This shows the influence of Donald Trump, and this has never happened before with an American president,” he continued. “I tell you from my experience, this also gives you confidence that he can stop this war.”

As shocking of a statement that is to hear, it makes me wonder if Zelensky is truly admitting Trump’s influence or if he is now just trying to suck up so his greedy little hands don’t stop receiving a handout from the United States. I truly wouldn’t put that past him.
One thing I know for sure, is the Trump administration will put an end to the unnecessary spending and start putting America first again. Which I believe will include cutting off the cash flow to Ukraine.
