Whoopi Lectures Trump on the Constitution — That’s Rich

On Monday’s episode of The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg took another swing at President Donald Trump, accusing him of knowingly violating his oath of office. Because apparently, daytime talk show hosts are now constitutional scholars.

Goldberg kicked off the segment by playing a clip from NBC’s Meet the Press, where host Kristen Welker asked Trump if he needed to uphold the Constitution as president.

Trump, unfazed as usual, replied, “I don’t know. I have to respond by saying, again, I have brilliant lawyers that work for me, and they are going to obviously follow what the Supreme Court said. What you said is not what I heard the Supreme Court said. They have a different interpretation.”

Translation? Trump’s letting the legal experts handle the law — a pretty reasonable move for a president.

But Whoopi wasn’t having it. After replaying footage of Trump taking the oath of office (twice), she sarcastically fired back, “So I don’t know why you don’t remember it because we saw you say it. This isn’t AI you. That was you — two times.”

She continued, “When you say you don’t know, you have to check, then you shouldn’t be president if you don’t know the job. Why are you doing this? And don’t act like we’re the idiots here. You know the job, and yes, you know you’re violating your oath of office by doing that. Or am I crazy?”

Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in with a dramatic, “No, you are not.”

Bless their hearts.

Apparently, The View gang still thinks yelling at the TV counts as political analysis. Meanwhile, Trump’s out there taking advice from actual lawyers and the Supreme Court — not a daytime panel with cue cards and coffee mugs.
