White House Rift: Patel, Bongino at Odds with Bondi on Epstein Transparency

  • DOJ Drama Explodes: FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Dan Bongino may quit over clashes with AG Pam Bondi.
  • Epstein Files at Center: Tensions boil after Bondi refuses to release key documents, sparking a heated White House meeting.
  • Ultimatum Issued: Sources say Bongino is “out of control furious” and threatening to resign unless Bondi is fired.

FBI Director Kash Patel is reportedly considering resigning amid growing tensions with Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to The Daily Wire. The rift comes as multiple reports suggest FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is also weighing his resignation over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn’t released,” reported the Daily Wire’s @MaryMargOlohan.

The controversy escalated after an alleged “clash” between Bongino and Bondi earlier this week inside the White House. According to NBC News, Bongino is “out of control furious” and is threatening to quit unless Bondi is fired. “This destroyed his career. He’s threatening to quit & torch Pam unless she’s fired,” a source told the outlet.

The dispute centers on the DOJ’s decision not to release certain Epstein-related files, which has sparked outrage among investigators. During a Wednesday meeting with Bondi and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Patel and Bongino were questioned about reports that they were dissatisfied with the move. “The meeting then got pretty heated,” a source told NBC.

NBC also reported that “Patel and Bongino have been increasingly frustrated with Bondi over a variety of issues, not just the Epstein files.”

Despite the turmoil, President Trump reportedly “has not lost confidence in anyone involved.”
