Kevin O’Leary, a well-known figure from the TV show Shark Tank, has recently hinted at stepping into a leadership role in Canada. As Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faces challenges, O’Leary sees an opportunity to make his mark.
He expressed his ambition to craft an economic agreement with former U.S. President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. This potential deal could explore the idea of forming an economic union between Canada and the United States. O’Leary paints a picture of vast potential, highlighting Canada’s abundant resources such as power, gas, water, and lumber—comparable to the state of California but with even greater possibilities.
O’Leary’s enthusiasm is palpable as he describes the current Canadian leadership as faltering. He believes that Trudeau’s time as Prime Minister is nearing its end, suggesting there’s a leadership vacuum in Ottawa that he is eager to fill. His confidence shines through when he states: “Thank goodness I’m here.”

“[Canadians] want to explore this idea of an economic union…” O’Leary said during an appearance on Fox News, “Think about the 40 million people, the size of California, unlimited resources, unlimited power, unlimited gas, unlimited water, unlimited lumber, unlimited everything.”
“I’m licking my chops at the opportunity of being involved because right now we’ve got a leadership that’s collapsing,” he continued.
O’Leary added, “Justin Trudeau is on his way out. So for the next five months, there’s a void in Ottawa as I like to say: Thank goodness I’m here.”
