WUT? Madonna Says Trans Americans Face ‘Lynch Mob Mentality’

According to pop singer Madonna, transgender people in the United States are facing a “lynch mob mentality” now that Donald Trump is back in the White House.

The 66-year-old singer posted to her Instagram story over the weekend with these claims. She said, It breaks my heart to witness the pain of trans-people who are not accepted by a society that fears them because they are different. How can we know what it feels like ? Have we walked in their shoes? The Lynch mob mentality in this country is at an all-time high.”

Madonna added, “The excitement people get from watching people go down or be silenced, be blacklisted, is disturbing. The enjoyment we get from other people’s pain is a sin. Humanity should put more time and effort into lifting people up and supporting anyone who is striving to be the better version of themselves!”

She didn’t bother to specify which anti-transgender policies she opposes. Could it be that she disagrees with keeping men out of girls’ sports? Or perhaps preventing the ruining of children’s bodies with the ban of minors undergoing gender transition surgery.

LOL Raskin Wants Trump Censured Over Pocahontas Comments

On Sunday, Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin appeared on MSNBC’s “Velshi” and demanded that President Donald Trump be censured for referring to Senator Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas” during his Congress address.

His nickname for the Democrat senator stems from her previous claims that she is Indian.

Raskin declared, “It’s a fair criticism you know, we’ve stayed overwhelmingly unified through this. I think it is a valid critique that we did not have one single strategic plan going into the Donald Trump’s address on that night, whether it was boycott, walkout, sign waving, heckling interruption which is what Marjorie Taylor Greene repeatedly did to Joe Biden. Of course, Biden dealt with that like a man and just responded to it. Donald Trump couldn’t handle it because he doesn’t have the verbal dexterity to respond, and so they had to have Al Green removed.”

He added, “Al Green was making a very strong, valid, substantive point, which is there is no mandate to destroy Medicaid. The vast majority of Democrats rejected the idea of censuring him. And really, if we were censuring anybody, it should have been Donald Trump, who I don’t think had been back to our chamber since he incited a violent insurrection against us. And then he used his pulpit in order to call a sitting member of the United States Senate Pocahontas. So I think a racial and ethnic slur from the president was a far greater insult to the dignity and decorum of our chamber.”

Boo hoo!

CANCELLED: Marco Rubio Shuts Down 83% of USAID Programs

According to reports, more than three quarters of programs that are directly funded and administered by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) have been cancelled as of Monday, by Secretary of State of State Marco Rubio.

The former senator announced the Trump administration’s plan to clean up the corruption in government institutions and drain the swamp once and for all.

 Breitbart reports:

The decision came after a six week review of the programs, Rubio set out, citing their funding as antithetical to the core interests of the United States:

After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID.

The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States.

In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department.

Thank you to DOGE and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform.

Last month, the Trump administration announced that USAID direct staffers not deemed essential were put on leave, while others were placed on “administrative leave” or let go entirely.

Employees were also informed that USAID “was beginning a reduction in force that would eliminate 2,000 U.S.-based jobs.”

The layoffs of thousands of employees from USAID come after a Trump-appointed judge ruled that if the Trump administration “deems it necessary to place thousands of workers on leave in order to review U.S.-backed foreign assistance,” they are allowed to do that.

In fiscal year 2023, USAID disbursed $72bn of aid worldwide courtesy of funds provided by U.S. taxpayers on everything from  “gender-affirming health care in Guatemala, teaching people in Kazakhstan to fight back against Internet trolls, voluntary male circumcisions in Mozambique, and creating work opportunities for young LGBTQI+ people in Serbia” to name just a few.

United States taxpayers have also sent more than $3 billion to Mexico since 2008 to combat the drug cartels that have mercilessly flooded illicit narcotics, including fentanyl, into the country.

Yet, despite the billions of tax dollars spent, the cartels have only grown stronger. It is well beyond time to look into the money being spent.

MSNBC Guest Says Ukrainians ‘More American Than We Are’ – WATCH

0

On Friday, Independent Veterans of America CEO Paul Rieckhoff appeared on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” and claimed that Ukrainians are “more American” than the actual American people.

Rieckhoff declared, “Donald Trump has completely betrayed Ukraine. He has stabbed them in the back and every week he needs to twist it and drive it deeper with a new move that cuts more of their legs out from under them.”

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle asked, “What do you say to the person who says, I don’t care about Ukraine, I want Donald Trump to stand up for Russia?”

Rieckhoff replied, “Where did you grow up? Did you grow up in a place where you thought the Russians were the good guys? What part of America did you grow up in where they taught you the Russians were the good guys, and our allies were the bad guys? That’s the flip here that we need to continue to remind people. The Russians are the bad guys. They’re raping women. They’re killing children. They’re bombing cities.”

He added, “The Ukrainians are the noble good guys. In some ways, they’re more American than we are. Over the last couple of years, and we must stand with them in the same way we stood with the Allies in World War II. And since this country was founded. This is not just about Ukraine. This is about the core and the integrity of American values.”

New Bill Introduced to Create Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve

0

As reported by The Center Square:

(The Center Square) – Texas may soon allow state money to be invested in cryptocurrency.

State Sen. Charles Schwertner, R-Georgetown, filed SB 21, the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and Investment Act, which would create a new reserve to invest in digital currency.

The bill states that “bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are assets with strategic potential for enhancing this state ’s financial resilience” and “can serve as a hedge against inflation and economic volatility.” Establishing a strategic bitcoin reserve will benefit Texas residents by “providing enhanced financial security,” it says.

The bill passed the Texas Senate Thursday with bipartisan support.

The reserve would operate as a special fund outside the state treasury and be managed by the state comptroller’s office. It would receive funds transferred or deposited by a legislative appropriation; by dedicated revenue from the legislature; by bitcoin and other cryptocurrency purchased using money in or received by the reserve; by a fork of a distributed ledger; by a distribution from an airdrop to the state ’s cryptocurrency addresses; by investment earnings and interest or rewards earned on assets in the reserve; and by gifts, grants, and other donations to the reserve.

At a Senate Business & Commerce Committee hearing, Schwertner said the bill sends “a clear message regarding the decades long spendthrift stewardship of our country by the federal government.”

Individuals and investment firms have responded to the federal government’s uncontrollable spending “by seeking alternatives to fiat currency. These alternatives have historically included gold and land but now include many cryptocurrencies,” he said.

The U.S. Treasury Department refers to Bitcoin “as digital gold” and it’s become a recognized asset in the financial markets, he said. Individuals directly hold Bitcoin assets or invest in them through publicly listed Securities and Exchange Commission-regulated Bitcoin ETF’s traded on U.S. stock exchanges.

“Bitcoin offers unique advantages in the digital era due to its limited supply and decentralized nature in contrast to the federal government, which has a unlimited printing press and centralized control of the currency,” Schwertner said. The bill will allow Texas “to diversify our investment approach, participate competitively in the digital financial economy and leverage the benefits of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.”

Bills Proposed to Ban Biological Men from Women’s Bathrooms

0

As reported by The Center Square:

Companion bills have been filed in the Texas Senate and House to prohibit individuals from using state-funded facilities that are designated for use by the opposite sex. It would ban biological males from using state-funded women’s facilities like in jail or prison cells, domestic violence shelters, public bathrooms, locker rooms or other facilities.

State Rep. Valoree Swanson, R-Spring, filed HB 239, the Texas Women’s Privacy Act. State Sen. Mayes Middleton, R-Galveston, filed the companion bill in the Texas Senate. The bill has bipartisan support.

It seeks to amend state government code to define biological sex, correctional facilities, family violence shelters, political subdivisions, private spaces, single occupancy private spaces, state agencies and other terms.

Biological sex is defined as the “physical condition of being male or female, as determined by: … the sex organs, chromosomes, and endogenous profiles of a person; a person’s original birth certificate, if the biological sex is correctly stated on the birth certificate …,” according to the bill language.

The bill would require political subdivisions or state agencies to ensure that private spaces within their jurisdiction are only designated for or used by persons based on their biological sex. Exceptions include those assisting the disabled, seniors, parents and guardians of children under age 10, among others.

The law applies to taxpayer-funded facilities that have bathrooms, locker rooms, sleeping quarters or other areas, including state parks, state prisons and county jails, domestic violence shelters, among others.

Civil penalties include $5,000 for the first violation and $25,000 for each subsequent violation.

In 2023, both Swanson and Middleton sponsored the Save Women’s Sports Act, which passed the legislature and was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott, The Center Square reported. It prohibits biological men from competing on a team or as an individual against women in college sports.

In 2021, Abbott first signed a bill into law to protect girls’ sports in Texas public schools. In the legislative sessions of 2017 and 2019, he signed four bills into law to address student safety and adjudication processes for reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault on college campuses.

Last year, Abbott also instructed Texas colleges and universities not to comply with a Biden administration rewrite of Title IX to expand the definition of “sex” to include “gender identify.”

“I signed laws to ensure the safety of our students on campus and provide a process for adjudicating reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault with adequate due process for all parties involved, as well as laws to protect the integrity of women’s sports by prohibiting men from competing against female athletes – and I will not let President Biden erase the advancements Texas has made,” he said at the time.

MSNBC Suffers Serious Case of TDS! Compares Trump to Mussolini in Latest Stunt

On Friday, MSNBC portrayed serious signs of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Perhaps it’s time for the network to get some help.

Long-time MSNBC personality Chris Matthews appeared on “Morning Joe” and compared President Donald Trump to 20th-century Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. Big yikes.

Matthews declared, “He’s doing all this on television. If you have noticed, he calls the TV cameras for the cabinet meetings he’s doing. He’s redirecting his cabinet officials, redirecting Musk. I’ve watched this guy use television like nobody’s ever done. When he went up the other night on Tuesday night, talked to the American people and said, ‘We’re paying Social Security checks to people who are 160 years old.’ Anybody who reads an obit page knows that’s not true. Anybody knows we’re not spending money on 20 million people out there getting free checks.”

He continued, “That kind of fraudulence is unbelievable. But he’s telling the MAGA people out there, They’re stealing your money. Don’t trust these people in Washington. These are bad people. They are the deep state. He did it. You know, he talked about the election being stolen. Nobody in America will tell you which states were stolen from him. All the MAGA people—get them in a corner and say tell me which states were stolen in 2020.’ They can’t tell you. He just told them that. He just said they were stolen.”

Matthews added, “With Zelensky on television, he said it was ‘great television.’ I’ll never forget that. It was great television where he beat up this guy on television. He and JD Vance — and they just did it in public. So, we all know what Donald Trump thinks of Zelensky. He’s teaching us. He’s teaching us don’t trust Social Security, so he can go after it. Don’t trust Ukraine because he’s going to go after Ukraine and diminish that country and its size and its importance. All because this is what Trump thinks and that’s what it’s about. It is Mussolini. It’s about believing the leader in what he says verbatim. And that’s what Trump does on television. And he’s using us to do it using the medium.

GOP Senators Want Trump to ‘Retreat’ on Tariffs, Say U.S. is ‘Losing’

As the trade war goes on between the United States and both Canada and Mexico, there are some republican senators expressing concern on the issue. Among them are Senators Rand Paul, Thom Tillis, and John Kennedy.

On February 1, Trump declared that he would impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, set to take effect on February 4. However, two days later, he postponed the tariffs for a month, with a new start date of March 4. On the same day, a 10% tariff on Chinese imports went into effect. The following day, Trump suspended tariffs on automobiles after a request from the Big 3 U.S. automakers. Then, on March 6, the president announced a suspension of tariffs on Canadian and Mexican goods that complied with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which he had signed during his first term.

On Thursday, Senator Rand Paul appeared on CNN and said that he has numerous businesses coming to him about the effects tariffs will have on their industries. He said, “Almost every industry in Kentucky has come to me and said, ‘I will hurt our industry and push up prices of homes, cars, and so, I’m gonna continue to argue against tariffs.”

Echoing Rand, Senator Tillis explained that he believes Trump should “back off” tariffs that are hurting Americans. “When we start losing, you back off. There’s such a thing as strategic retreat,” the senator said. “At the end of the day, I think we have more leverage than any other nation. But we gotta be smart. And we don’t have all the leverage.”

Senator Kennedy also expressed similar concerns on Fox Business. “I’m worried about the tariffs,” he said. “I’m not saying that tariffs are going to cause inflation. President Trump did them in his first term and they didn’t. I’m saying that we just don’t know and we’re in very obscure territory. We’re in uncharted waters. I think if the tariffs do start to cause inflation, I think the president will back away from them.”

What do you think? Should Trump back off now, or continue to see it through to force the hand of our trade partners?
