Report: Elon Musk to Step Back from Trump Admin – Here’s Why!

0

According to reports, President Donald Trump has indicated to top advisors that DOGE leader Elon Musk could be stepping back from his role in the administration.

As of now, Musk is considered a “special government employee,” which means that his position is not to exceed more than 130 days. By those terms, his employment will end at the end of May. However, it has been rumored that Trump would take measures to extend his employment status.

On Monday, Trump states that Musk will likely need to return to run Tesla at some point, when he was asked about the 130-day time limit.

He said, “Well, I think he’s … amazing. But I also think he’s got a big company to run. And so, at some point he’s going to be going back. He wants to.”

On Wednesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed reports from Politico and mainstream media that Musk is being pushed out.

She wrote, “Elon Musk and President Trump have both *publicly* stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.”

To which Musk himself responded in agreement with Leavitt’s comments, adding, “Yeah, fake news.”

So will Musk be stepping back? Yes. However, despite the media making it sound like he is being pushed out, it appears that the president is still quite pleased with Musk and his good work with the Department of Government Efficiency.

White House Explains How Exporters Will ‘Eat Most of Tariffs’

On Wednesday, White House Council of Economic Advisors Chair Stephen Miran appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow” and explained how exporters will be eating the majority of the cost when it comes to tariffs “because they’re inflexible and we’re flexible. Because we can substitute to home production, we can substitute to different countries to import from.”

Fox News host Larry Kudlow said, “Kevin Hassett and I have talked about this for years. I think the — I like to use China as the exporting nation, but the exporters who are hit by this, they’re going to have to eat half of it. they’re going to eat half of it.”

Miran replied, “They’ll eat much more than half, because they’re inflexible and we’re flexible. Because we can substitute to home production, we can substitute to different countries to import from. The countries that have built their entire economies around exporting to the American consumer have no substitute.”

He added, “They’re inflexible. They will eat the burden of the tax in the long run. And what that means is that they ultimately pay for the burden of the tariff. Now, there [are] a couple ways that can happen. It can happen through the exchange rate, and part of that played out in 2018, 2019, or they can just lower their selling prices. But one way or another, they’ll pay.”

Schiff Cries Wolf: ‘Trump Tariffs Spell Disaster for U.S.’

On Wednesday, Democratic Senator Adam Schiff appeared on MSNBC’s “Prime” and claimed that the tariffs implemented by President Donald Trump will be a “disaster for our economy.”

MSNBC co-host Alicia Menendez asked, “Senator, as we come on air, the Dow’s future is down a thousand points. We were told by the president it was liberation day. Are you feeling liberated?”

Schiff replied, “No. I may be liberated from anything in a 401k as millions of Americans will feel that impact and will be liberated from any chance of having lower prices for things. This is going to be a disaster for our economy. It’s going to be a disaster for hardworking families that are going to have to pay more for auto parts or getting their car fixed or, you know, buying groceries or anything else. These other countries, many of whom are our closest allies, are going to retaliate against us. It’s just simply going to escalate from here.”

He declared, “I talked to farmers out in California who still haven’t recovered the market share they lost during the first Trump administration from the ill-fated tariffs then. So this is going to be really disastrous — a massive self-inflicted wound on our economy from a president who campaigned on lowering prices but is, in fact, pushing them through the roof. ”

Illinois Senator Blasts DOGE Efforts to Eliminate Fraud

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin condemned the Trump administration’s plans to transfer student loan cases from the Department of Education to the Small Business Administration and cut funding for the National Institutes of Health. He claimed these changes would reduce efficiency and harm Americans.

The Center Square reports:

Illinois U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is targeting President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk with various criticisms of their efforts to cut waste and fraud.

Speaking on the Senate floor in Washington this week, Durbin blasted the Trump administration’s proposal to shift student loan cases from the Department of Education to the Small Business Administration.

“I want to make sure the Department of Education is efficient. I want to make sure that it’s responsive, but the notion that we’re going to shift all the student loans to the SBA is an example of someone who didn’t think it through. With fewer employees at that agency, they’ll be unable to do the the job which they were assigned the responsibility in doing and change the lives of a lot of American students in the process,” Durbin said.

Musk said in an interview with Fox News that the Small Business Administration was giving out loans to babies, and the loans were fraudulent.

“They do terrible things. They actually will see that a kid’s been born. They will steal that kid’s Social Security number, they’ll take out a loan and then leave that kid with a bad credit rating,” Musk said.

The fiscal year 2025 budget request for the Small Business Administration is $971 million in discretionary budget authority.

Durbin also blasted the Trump administration Wednesday at a Senate forum on the National Institutes of Health. Trump and Musk have moved to reduce spending and cut personnel at the NIH.

“Think about that moment, which many of us have faced and others have heard about over and over again, when the doctor says, ‘And here’s the diagnosis.’ And you gulp and you say, ‘Is there anything we can do? Is there a medicine, is there a surgery, is there a treatment?’ And you pray to God that some researcher at NIH found a breakthrough that’s gonna give you or someone you love a chance,” Durbin said.

The NIH had a budget of more than $47 billion in fiscal year 2024. The agency faced scrutiny after the COVID-19 pandemic due to allegations of taxpayer-funded gain-of-function research in China.

Report: Taxpayers to Cover CA Rents Over $7K Near Mexican border

Under the federal Section 8 housing voucher program, taxpayers could be assisting with California rents as high as $7,030 near the Mexican border. The program’s goal is to offer tenants increased access to “Opportunity Neighborhoods,” which offer better job opportunities, public transportation, and schools.

The Center Square reports:

According to federal data, taxpayers may now be helping cover California rents of up to $7,030 near the Mexican border.

Under the federal Section 8 housing voucher program, families are expected to dedicate 30% of their incomes to housing costs, while a federal voucher covers the rest. Vouchers are portable, with the Department of Housing and Urban Development aiming to provide tenants with “greater ability to move into ‘Opportunity Neighborhoods’ with jobs, public transportation, and good schools.”

In San Diego County, there are three ZIP Codes where fair market rents covered by Section 8 exceed $7,000 per month for a four-bedroom home: swanky coastal Del Mar, whose notable homeowners include Microsoft founder Bill Gates and football star Aaron Rodgers, and neighboring Rancho Sante Fe, whose residents include Bill Murray and Phil Mickelson, is joined by Chula Vista, a more modest community that adjoins the California-Mexico border.

The San Diego County income limit for a family of five to qualify for Section 8 is $49,500, meaning that family would be expected to contribute up to approximately $1,237.50 per month towards the up to $7,030 fair market rent authorized for Section 8 vouchers of up to $5792.50 per month.

According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which administers the Section 8 program, FMR is set by the 40th percentile rent, asdetermined by the results of the American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau.

As of March 31, there are four four-bedroom homes for rent in Chula Vista’s 91914 ZIP code listed on Zillow, ranging from $3,800 per month to $10,000 per month, with two of the rentals under the $7,030 threshold.

According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities’s January 2025 report, 2.3 million households receive Section 8 vouchers, which are expected to costfederal taxpayers $32.8 billion in fiscal year 2025.

Because maximum voucher amounts are set by local rents, expensive, densely-populated coastal regions receive a disproportionate share of voucher funding.

BREAKING: Whoopi and Behar Suddenly Support ‘Free Speech’

On Tuesday, Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” that President Donald Trump is attacking free speech with “broad strokes which have nothing to do with reality.”

Goldberg declared, “What I really want, what I want more than anything, is I want them to stop fooling around with my right to say what I feel.”

Co-host Joy Behar replied, “That’s coming.”

That’s news right there! Since when do Democrats support free speech??

Goldberg continued, “I don’t like being threatened. I don’t like being — I don’t like people running up on me. You don’t like what I say. This is America. I grew up here, and the one thing I always knew is I had freedom of speech, and every time, every time somebody says, you know, I don’t like what they said, so I’m shutting down PBS.”

She complained, “I don’t like what they do — those are broad strokes which have nothing to do with reality. Because the fact of the matter is, just because you don’t hear me say it doesn’t mean I don’t feel it. My big thing is all the things you talked about, but this idea that you can no longer speak your mind as an American is really, really — especially coming from a group that always says, you know, everyone is shutting us down. No one shuts you down.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in, “It’s terrifying.”

Behar added, “I remember years ago, I said to the audience, watch this space. When they tell us to keep quiet, you know we’re in trouble. Wait for it.”

Mystal Calls to Nullify Every Law Passed Before 1965 Voting Rights Act

On Tuesday, The Nation’s Elie Mystal appeared on “The View” and called for “every law” passed before the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to be ruled “presumptively unconstitutional.”

“I set out to start to kind of try to write Project 2029,” the justice correspondent declared. “When Republicans come into office, they come in with a sledge hammer. They come in smashing things that I hold dear. When Democrats come into office, they come with like superglue and tape. And, so they try to put things back together.”

Mystal continued, “So, I thought about writing ten Constitutional Amendments that would be super cool if we had. But, I was like, ‘No, no, no.’ We need to smash the things that they like. We need to smash the things that are holding this country back. And, so I came up with ten laws that we could just get rid of — not reform, not update for the modern era. Ten things that we can smash if we ever are allowed to get power again that would make this country better tomorrow.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in, “One of the laws you write about is playing out right now, the Immigration and Nationality Act. Now, this administration is using this statute to justify the detentions and possible deportations actually of visa and green card holders who they seem to deem a threat to U.S. foreign policy.”

She asked, “What do you make of the administration’s use of the act, and more broadly, is Trump really setting up a First Amendment showdown — which is what Whoopi’s been talking about?”

Mystal replied, “Yes, absolutely. One of my premises for the book is that every law passed before the 1965 Voting Rights Act should be presumptively unconstitutional.”

He added, “Because before the 1965 Voting Rights Act, we were functionally an apartheid country. Not everybody who lived here, could vote here. So, why should I give a f*ck about some law that some old white man passed in 1920s like, the Immigration and Nationality Act?”

Hakeem Jeffries Just Showed Us How Delusional He Really Is

On Tuesday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries appeared on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” and showed us just how out of touch with reality he really is while discussing two special elections in Florida.

Jeffries made the claim that voters are “rapidly deteriorating Republican brand,” which is interesting considering there was “booming” Republican turnout, and both elections were won by the Republican candidates.

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell said, “Let’s begin as we wait for a victory speech in Wisconsin with your reaction to what you’re seeing in those special elections in Florida for two House seats.”

Jeffries replied, “It was an incredible over performance by the two Democratic candidates into two ruby red districts.”

“What. we’re seeing, of course, is something that we’ve seen all across the country since the early special elections that began in late January,” he continued. “And that is democratic energy and over performance coupled with independent swing voters and even moderate Republicans breaking for the Democratic candidate and rejecting the extremism, the outrageous behavior.”

Jeffries added, “It’s time for them to walk away from this unelected, unpopular, unhinged and un-American billionaire puppet master Elon Musk was just rejected decisively by the voters of Wisconsin. He tried to spend his unlimited resources to buy a state Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin, and it failed spectacularly. The voters rejected Donald Trump, they rejected Elon Musk, and they rejected the rapidly deteriorating Republican brand.”

Rep. Raskin Demands Return of Violent, Illegal Gangbangers

Ultra-liberal Rep. Jamie Raskin just showed where his allegiance lies, and it is NOT with the American people. His constituents would be wise to take serious note over his latest outburst, in which he demanded for deported violent gang members to be returned to the United States.

On Tuesday, Raskin went off on the Trump administration during a House Judiciary Committee hearing for deporting violent illegal immigrants, and demanded “the return of people unlawfully taken to El Salvador” on the “so-called plane full of gang bangers.”

Raskin claims that there were innocent people among the deported, repeating a false narrative that  Maryland father was put on that plane. However, as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has debunked, this is not true.

She explained of the recent story by The Atlantic, which accused the Trump administration of mistakenly deporting Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was nothing more than a clerical error.

“The error that you are referring to was a clerical error. It was an administrative error. The administration maintains the position that this individual who was deported to El Salvador and will not be returning to our country was a member of the brutal and vicious MS-13 gang. That is fact number one,” Leavitt said during a briefing.

“Fact number two, we also have credible intelligence proving that this individual was involved in human trafficking,” she continued. “Fact number three, this individual was a member, actually a leader, of the brutal MS-13 gang, which this President has designated as a foreign terrorist organization.”

Leavitt nailed the coffin shut, “Fact number four is that foreign terrorists do not have legal protections in the United States of America anymore, and it is within the President’s executive authority and power to deport these heinous individuals from American communities.”

Newsflash: the left always sides with terrorists and criminals over the American citizens who vote for them.
