SAVAGE! Trump Snubs Schiff, Padilla During Dodgers Visit (WATCH)

On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers visited the White House, and the event proved to be funnier than anyone could have imagined.

While speaking to the crowd, President Donald Trump refused to acknowledge Democratic California Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla. He declared, “I don’t particularly like them, so I won’t introduce them.” Standing behind him, the LA Dodgers’ players start LOSING IT.

“We have a couple of senators here. I just don’t particularly like them, so I won’t introduce them,” the president said, and then paused as the crowd laughed at his comment. He chuckled and added, “I didn’t think it was that big a deal, actually. It’s Washington.”

I don’t know about you, but I cracked up watching that. Trump is hilarious without even meaning to be, which makes it that much better. He’s a master at trolling the left.

BREAKING: European Union Bends the Knee – Proposes ‘Zero-for-Zero’ Tariff Deal

After being hit with tariffs from President Donald Trump, the European Union is ready to play ball! European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen announced that they’d like to negotiate with the United States, proposing a zero for zero tariff deal.

“Europe is always ready for a good deal. So we keep it on the table,” she said, adding that the EU “offered zero for zero tariffs for industrial goods, … because Europe is always ready for good deal.”

WATCH:

This isn’t the first country to seek negotiation after Trump introduced reciprocal tariffs. Vietnam and Taiwan also joined the table over the weekend, pledging more investments and zero tariffs on the U.S.

On Sunday, Taiwan President Lai Ching-te proposed zero tariffs as basis for US trade talks, adding that they will not retaliate against U.S. tariffs and vowed to buy more from the United States.

On Friday, Trump announced that Vietnam wanted to “cut their tariffs down to zero” as well, following a phone call with To Lam, the General Secretary of the Community Party of Vietnam.

“Just had a very productive call with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who told me that Vietnam wants to cut their Tariffs down to ZERO if they are able to make an agreement with the U.S.,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.

He added, “I thanked him on behalf of our Country, and said I look forward to a meeting in the near future.”

It’s almost like this is the game of chess that Trump has been playing all along. Checkmate.

CNN’s Tapper Too Embarrassed to Admit He’s a Liberal (VIDEO)

0

On Sunday, CNN host Jake Tapper appeared on “State of the Union” to interview Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins, during which he was too embarrassed to admit that he is liberal – telling her that he is “not on the left.”

Tapper asked, “So, how long do you anticipate this tariff chaos is going to be going on, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days?”

Rollins replied, “Well, first of all, Jake, thank you for having me. I think it’s really important to realize that last Wednesday was when the president announced this new American order, the new American economic plan. We’re now two days in, right? You have got two days of data. Everyone, especially on your side, on the left, is freaking out.”

Tapper declared, “I’m not on the left.”

His statement was then met with laughter, causing Rollins to pause her response before continuing, “This whole concept is about rebuilding an American economy around American goods, around American industry. We do already live under a tariff regime in this country, but it’s the tariff regime of China, of Mexico, of Brazil, of Australia, of countries that — Mexico won’t take our corn. Australia won’t take our beef.”

She said, “The country of Honduras takes more pork than the entire European Union does, American pork, I should say. So from our farming and ranching perspective, which is what I’m focused on, but happy to talk about anything, that it has to — it is time for a change, and that’s what this president evoked last Wednesday.”

Rollins added, So I think we will see in short order a really positive outcome from this. We already have 50, 5-0, 50 countries that have come to the table over the last few days, over the last weeks that are willing and desperate to talk to us.We are the economic engine of the world, and it’s finally time that someone, President Trump, stood up for America.”

Chevron Ordered to Pay $744M in Landmark Louisiana Coastal Restoration Case

0

Chevron has been ordered by a jury to pay $744 million in damages for its role in Louisiana’s coastal wetland degradation. The verdict, the first of 42 lawsuits, marks a significant step in addressing the state’s rapid coastal erosion. However, the oil and gas industry warns the ruling could harm the state’s economy and deter future investment.

The Center Square reports:

In a historic decision with sweeping implications for Louisiana’s energy sector and environmental restoration efforts, a jury in lower Plaquemines Parish on Friday ordered Chevron to pay $744 million in damages for its role in the degradation of the state’s coastal wetlands.

The verdict marks the conclusion of the first trial among 42 lawsuits filed since 2013 by parishes across coastal Louisiana. The lawsuits allege that decades of oil and gas activity – primarily canal dredging and other infrastructure work –violated state permitting laws and accelerated the state’s catastrophic land loss.

The case, Plaquemines Parish v. Chevron USA, Inc., is the first of its kind to go before a jury. Chevron was sued as the successor to Texaco, whose operations in the parish date back decades.

“This is about responsibility,” said lead parish attorney John Carmouche. “If somebody causes harm, fix it.”

Chevron argued the lawsuit was flawed, claiming that the activities in question were permitted, legal, and often conducted under federal direction – particularly those tied to national security during World War II.

The company also sought to move the case to federal court, a request repeatedly denied over the years, with the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals affirming its place in state court in 2022.

Plaquemines Parish sought nearly $3 billion in damages. Environmental advocates and plaintiffs’ attorneys say the ruling could open the door to billions more in damages across the remaining lawsuits.

The verdict drew sharp criticism from Louisiana’s oil and gas industry and its allies, who warned the ruling could have dire consequences for the state’s economy.

“Today’s verdict not only undermines Louisiana’s position as an energy leader, but but also threatens our country’s trajectory at America-first energy dominance across the globe,” Tommy Faucheux, president of the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association, said. “These lawsuits were never about restoring the coast. As the number one private investor in our working coast, the energy industry is already doing that. Instead, this is a deep-pocketed trial lawyers driving baseless lawsuits hoping to make millions in legal fees. Today’s decision is sacrificing the livelihoods of our families, friends and neighbors to give these trial lawyers their big payday.”

DeSantis Pushes HUGE Property Tax Relief, Rebates for Florida Home Owners

0

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis proposed a whopping $5.1 billion property tax relief plan, which includes $1,000 rebates for homesteaded properties and a potential ballot initiative for lower property taxes in 2026. He also emphasized the need for tax relief focused on Florida residents and homeowners, highlighting the burden of rising property taxes.

The Center Square reports:

Property property tax relief for Floridians through $5.1 billion in a proposed sales tax cut is being sought by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

He wants lawmakers to issue $1,000 for each of about 5.1 million homesteaded properties in the state. The rebates would be issued in December, covering state-mandated school property taxes, which he says would prevent a loss in funding for districts.

The state House of Representatives proposed reducing the state’s sales tax from 6% to 5.25% on Wednesday.

DeSantis added a state-level version of the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency should examine local budgets to determine savings that can be passed to homeowners being hit by rising assessments on property values.

“Of all the taxes impacting Floridians, property taxes are the most significant,” DeSantis said. “So when you’re doing proposals, whether it’s working with the Legislature, whether it’s putting something on the ballot, to me, the threshold question is the tax relief needs to be Florida first.

“We need to focus on our Florida residents and to focus on in this case, Florida homeowners, particularly our homesteaded homeowners and we need to focus our relief there.”

The second-term Republican governor and former presidential candidate said he wants a ballot initiative aimed at lower property taxes on the 2026 ballot that he says will provide “robust protections” for homeowners in the state constitution.

He also said property taxes are an anomaly because these taxes aren’t voluntary consumption based and basically mean homeowners are paying “rent” to the government for their property, even if the mortgage is fully paid.

“I know people that bought their homes for $250,000 30 years ago and now they’re assessed at over a million dollars. That’s not something out of the ordinary,” DeSantis said. “That’s a source of wealth if you’re free and clear of the mortgage, but one of the drawbacks is in the form of property taxes and so people have seen that even with a homestead exemption that has not be enough to be able to protect people against these rising assessments.”

Report: Vietnam Wants to Negotiate – Offers to Cut Tariffs on U.S. to ZERO

According to President Donald Trump, Vietnam is open to negotiating tariffs, and even offered to drop tariffs on U.S. goods completely if a deal can be made.

He revealed that this came after a phone call with the general secretary of Vietnam’s Communist Party, To Lam.

This is exactly what President Donald Trump is gearing at. Reciprocal tariffs to strong-arm the countries ripping off the United States, and force them to drop their tariffs on us. This is just proof that his tactics are working.

Cruz Breaks Rank, Sounds Alarm: ‘Tariffs Terrible for America’

On Thursday, Republican Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Fox Business Network and broke rank with the Trump administration on tariffs. He declaring that perpetual high tariffs are a “tax on consumers” and poor economic policy. He added that the only beneficial outcome would be other countries lowering their tariffs so the U.S. can then cut its tariffs.

The Texas senator said, “I think it is a mistake to assume that we will have high tariffs in perpetuity. I don’t think that would be good economic policy. I am not a fan of tariffs. And the announcement yesterday, look, time is going to tell, in the next month or two or three what happens.”

Cruz continued, “If the result of yesterday’s announcement is a lot of our trading partners across the globe dramatically reduce the tariffs they charge on U.S. goods and services and the consequence of that is the U.S. government dramatically cuts the tariffs that were announced yesterday, that would be a great outcome. That would be good for America. If the result is our trading partners jack up their tariffs and we have high tariffs everywhere, I think that is a bad outcome for America. Tariffs are a tax on consumers, and I’m not a fan of jacking up taxes on American consumers. So, my hope is these tariffs are short-lived and they serve as leverage to lower tariffs across the globe.”

WATCH:

On Friday, the Senate Commerce Chairman stated on his podcast that despite “Republican cheerleaders reflexively defending what the White House is doing,” the tariffs could “hurt jobs and hurt America.”

He revealed that he spoke to one of the “Big Three” automakers in the U.S. (likely GM, Ford, or Chrysler) and they told him the tariffs could raise vehicle prices by almost $5,000.

“This U.S. car company told me they actually thought foreign car companies would benefit more than they would, because if you send it over here, you pay one tariff, whereas this guys are getting hit on each part that is going over,” Cruz said.

“If we go into a recession — particularly a bad recession — 2026 in all likelihood, politically would be a bloodbath.” He added in regards to midterm elections, “The upside could be massive, but the downside could be massive.”

GOP Sen. Johnson Says He’ll Talk to Trump About Tariff ‘Exemptions’

On Thursday, Republican Senator Ron Johnson appeared in an interview with “PBS NewsHour” and stated that he will be speaking with President Donald Trump about the problems manufacturers could face in regards to tariffs on imported products that are no longer made in the United States. He declared that “it’s going to take a long time to onshore some of those products. So, we’ll certainly be talking to the president as this thing continues to drag out in terms of exemptions to make sure that businesses can survive.”

PBS co-host Amna Nawaz asked, “[W]hen you say the pain level, who’s going to feel that? What industries and sectors are you most worried about in your home state?”

Johnson replied, “Well, again, manufacturers that export, manufacturers that import products that aren’t, for example, made in America anymore, it’s going to take a long time to onshore some of those products. So, we’ll certainly be talking to the president as this thing continues to drag out in terms of exemptions to make sure that businesses can survive.”

Nawaz pressed, “And if there aren’t exemptions…for the companies that are going to have to bear some short-term pain, would you suggest that the government come up with some kind of subsidies or something to help mitigate some of that in the short term?”

Johnson answered, “Subsidies are very difficult to design, to really allocate fairly. I know President Trump, there will be revenue brought in. He certainly allocated that amongst farmers in the first round of increasing tariffs in his first administration. So, my guess is that might be one of the solutions they might have for some of the dislocations and some of the pain.”

Navarro Gives Frail Call to Action: ‘Stand Up to Trump’s Sick Deportations’

On Friday, ABC’s “The View” co-host Ana Navarro gave an extremely weak call for Americans to “stand up” against President Donald Trump and his “cruel” deportations of violent criminals. Apparently she thought she was going to really rally the troops with this one.

Navarro declared, “I’m glad and grateful we’re talking about this because America cannot get numb to the cruelty being inflicted on the Latino community, specifically by the Trump administration. Look, in my view, these people, mostly men, the ones they sent to El Salvador, are props as part of Donald Trump’s sick, cruel charade.”

She continued, “He built this narrative that there was this gang that was overtaking America and that he was going to send hardened criminals and rapists, monsters to this out of the country, get rid of them. The problem is that finding them and identifying them is not that easy. So then they’re picking up, I mean, understand this, they are disappearing people. Some of these wives and loved ones are finding out that their husbands, that their brothers are in this jail because they happened to see a video that was put out by the government of El Salvador.”

Navarro continued, “Can you imagine the grief, the distress, the sadness, the anxiety of a loved one not knowing where your relative is because they’ve been picked up off the street while they’re with the deaf, autistic, 5-year-old U.S. citizen son or because they are disappeared from an ICE appointment? What kind of country is this?”

She added, “America, we cannot let this continue. You have got to stand up. You have got to call your congresspeople.”
