You’ll NEVER Guess Which Dem Leader Just Agreed with Trump’s Tariffs

0

In a shocking turn of events, Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer PUBLICLY announced that she agrees with President Donald Trump and understands his tariffs.

“I understand the motivation behind the tariffs, and I can tell you, here’s where President Trump and I do agree,” she said. “We do need to make more stuff in America. More cars and ships. More steel and ships. We do need fair trade.”

WATCH:

Is she pulling a Gavin Newsom and eyeing a run for president in 2028? Wouldn’t surprise me at this point. I certainly didn’t have Whitmer agreeing with Trump on my 2025 bingo card, but it would make sense if she is trying to appeal to more Americans.

RFK Jr. Says ‘We’ll Know by September’ the Causes of Autism

On Thursday, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that the cause of the ‘autism epidemic’ would be identified by September. He linked the rising autism rates to environmental factors and vowed to eliminate such exposures.

Kennedy has pledged to “Make America Healthy Again” and he’s taking his vow seriously, including getting to the bottom of the drastic rise in autism.

“The autism rates have gone from—our most recent numbers we think are going to be about 1 in 31, so they are going up again, from 1 in 10,000 when I was a kid,” he declared.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 1 in 36 children have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Previous data going back to 2000 shows that it used to be 1 in 150 children. So what has caused the drastic spike over the last 25 years?

Kennedy continued, “At your direction, we are going to know by September. We’ve launched a massive testing and research effort that’s going to involve hundreds of scientists from around the world. By September, we will know what has caused the autism epidemic and we will be able to eliminate those exposures.”

“That’s a horrible statistic, isn’t it?” President Donald Trump responded to Kennedy’s vow. “There’s got to be something artificial out there that’s doing this, so you think you’re gonna have a pretty good idea?”

Kennedy replied, “We will know by September.”

Trump added that what they uncover will inform people to “stop taking something, you stop eating something, or maybe it’s a shot. Something’s causing it.”

CA Assembly Votes to Keep ‘Free’ Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

0

The California Assembly voted to maintain taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants, despite a proposed budget amendment to terminate Medi-Cal funding for this group. The amendment, introduced by Assemblyman Carl DeMaio, also aimed to cancel the state’s high-speed rail project, citing cost overruns and lack of progress. The amendment failed to pass.

The Center Square reports:

The California Assembly voted to maintain taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants, which the state said earlier had cost $9.5 billion this year.

The proposed budget amendment would have terminated Medi-Cal funding for illegal immigrants and further state funding for the state’s $35 billion high-speed rail project set to connect the Central Valley cities of Merced and Bakersfield by 2033.

“I rise in opposition to the current form of AB 100, and ask that this body take up an amendment to eliminate funding for illegal immigrant free health care at taxpayers’ expense, as well as direct the elimination, the suspension, the cancellation of the high speed rail project, which has become a multibillion dollar boondoggle costing taxpayers,” said Assemblyman Carl DeMaio, R-San Diego, on the Assembly floor, introducing the Republican caucus’s amendment to the current year’s budget adjustment. “All of us support Medi-Cal; it is the most important health care program for the neediest among us — children, the indigent, low-income families — but all of their health coverage has been put at risk because Gov. Gavin Newsom and this legislature decided to grant a gift of public funds to illegal immigrants to cover their health insurance at taxpayer expense.”

“In my district, a family of four going on to the Covered California website has to pay $16,000 for their healthcare coverage, but an illegal immigrant is given 100% coverage through Medi-Cal at taxpayer expense,” continued DeMaio. “When this was proposed, Gov. Newsom claimed it would cost only $6.5 billion. He either was woefully ignorant as to fiscal realities or he lied to the public. Today we find it’s $10 billion and counting of taxpayer money to give free health care to illegal immigrants.”

DeMaio was removed from his budget committee position, which he says was retaliation, in part, for using a hearing to find out from the California Department of Finance that the state had spent $9.5 billion on health care for illegal immigrants.

DeMaio also took aim at the state’s high speed rail program, claiming the little track laid thus far is non-permanent “phony rail” put in place to remain eligible for federal funding.

“In 2008, voters were told it would be only $8 billion of taxpayer investment, and we would get a train that would go from LA to San Francisco. Today, $8 billion has turned into $130 billion and counting, and in fact, we need $7 billion just to prop the old girl up for the next twelve months,” said Demaio. “Not a single inch of real high speed rail has been laid. They have phony rail in Central Valley so they can continue to bilk federal grants, which, by the way, the $4 billion of federal grant funding is now under investigation by the secretary of transportation.”

A vote to allow the amendment to be voted upon failed without debate, with 18 yes votes and 51 no votes.

House Passes $5.8T Resolution to Make Trump Tax Cuts Permanent

0

The House passed a $5.8 trillion budget resolution to make Trump’s tax cuts permanent, preventing a 22% tax hike for average taxpayers. The resolution, which authorizes a $5 trillion debt ceiling increase, faced opposition from some Republicans but ultimately passed with a narrow vote. Critics argue the Senate’s approach, using a current policy baseline, will add significantly to the national debt.

The Center Square reports:

President Donald Trump’s tax cuts are set for permanent extension after the House narrowly passed a $5.8 trillion over ten years concurrent budget resolution that seemed poised to fail.

If the Trump tax cuts expire, as they are set to do at the end of this year, the average taxpayer will see a 22% tax hike as well as their guaranteed deduction slashed in half. The child tax credit would also reduce from $2,000 per child to $1,000 per child, The Center Square previously reported.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., had to postpone the Wednesday night vote after too many Republicans balked around supporting the bill, which authorizes a $5 trillion debt ceiling increase.

The 216-214 vote held Thursday morning saw only two Republicans present voting no, Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Victoria Spartz, R-Ind.

Johnson was able to convince all other hardliners to vote yes with promises of deeper spending cuts than the bill requires.

The Senate’s amendment to the House’s $4.5 trillion budget resolutionkeeps the House’s savings targets — $1.5 trillion in House committee cuts — but establishes only a $4 billion savings floor for its own committees.

To do so, it changes the way the costs of extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act are calculated. By using a current policy baseline, which treats the extension as a continuation of current law rather than new policy, the Senate-revised resolution would theoretically subtract $3.8 trillion from the budget’s price tag.

The resolution also gives Senate committees an extra $1.5 trillion to spend and make Trump’s tax cuts permanent since it puts the costs of extension at zero.

Normally, the chambers adopt identical budget resolutions, giving House and Senate committees the same savings targets before moving forward in the budget reconciliation process. But Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Johnson decided the quickest way to enact Trump’s priorities was by taking a two-tier approach that saves the alignment and other details for later.

Critics have called the use of current policy baseline a “gimmick.” The Congressional Budget Office has estimated the Senate’s plan will in reality add at least $37 trillion to the national debt over the next 30 years, a more than 100% increase from the current level.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget warned that the Senate’s plan will add at least $5.8 trillion to the federal deficit over the next ten years, costing as much as the 2017 TCJA, CARES Act, American Rescue Plan, and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law combined.

“The Senate’s excuses – that they need flexibility, that this is just a step to unlock the process, that they promise they will come up with trillions of spending cuts – don’t hold water,” CRFB President Maya McGuineas said. “And their use of the egregious ‘current policy’ gimmick should show plainly to every fiscal hawk that they have no intention of actually coming up with the savings necessary.”

Democrats are saying that the concurrent resolution necessitates future cuts to Medicaid since it requires the House Energy and Commerce Committee to find $880 billion in spending cuts.

The passage of the resolution kicks off the budget reconciliation process in earnest, as House and Senate committees will begin crafting program-specific legislation fulfilling the spending and saving requirements to enact Trump’s tax, border, and energy agenda.

The View Host Attacks Trump’s Mental Health – ‘Belongs in Padded Room’

On Thursday, “The View” co-host Ana Navarro claimed that President Donald Trump “should be in a padded room.” That’s a rich statement coming from the likes of her!

Navarro declared, “Look, you know, if they’re saying that this was all strategic, then he is a sadist because what kind of government leader puts his people through this kind of distress and sadness and anxiety for a week just for giggles? His supporters always say that he plays fourth-dimensional chess. I think he should be in a padded room playing with his own drool.”

“The things he does are just simply lunacy, and we’re not out of this,” she continued. “We’re not out of it by any means. Let’s remember, as we sit here, there are 10% tariffs on everything. There’s a 125% tariff on China. There’s reciprocal tariffs from China. Let’s not underestimate the result on consumer confidence of the havoc he has wreaked for the last 11 weeks. We have antagonized our allies yet again, and to me this is very much — this reminds me of what’s happening with DOGE as well.”

Navarro added, “There’s so many things that could be done with a scalpel and that people would say, this is a good idea. But, no. Like with DOGE, they go in there with a wrecking ball and, you know, just having absolutely no second thought about the consequences and we don’t know. Listen, the bottom line is I think people are hunkering down, not going to be spending as much. Tourists aren’t coming to America. The things we need for our major industry, they have tariffs on. People, I think, are, you know, have trauma from what we have endured these last 11 weeks, and this is not going away because he’s putting a 90-day pause on it.”

Crazed Crockett Demands Evaluation on Trump ‘Mental Acuity’

Known for her outbursts and crazy rants, Rep. Jasmine Crockett is the last person I would expect to call for President Donald Trump’s mental acuity to be questioned. Yet, here we are.

On Thursday, Crockett appeared on MSNBC’s “All In” and made the claim that it is “beyond wild” that no one has questioned Trump’s “mental acuity or fitness to serve.”

Crockett declared, “When we start to talk about these tariffs, these tariffs are not limited to any one type of people. It’s not limited to Democrats, Republicans or Independents. It’s not limited to urban or rural. We know for a fact if we look back just at his last administration, what it did to the soybean farmers, right. And we ultimately ended up having to give them money to supplant the fact that they lost so much money. But this crazy tariff war that nobody asked for, where he basically is invoking emergency powers, the same thing that he did under the Alien Enemies Act.”

She continued, “Like the fact that no one is questioning his mental acuity or fitness to serve is beyond wild to me, right? Like the fact that they sat around called Joe Biden sleepy Joe Biden. and as I said before, at least you could sleep at night because you didn’t have to worry about your 401K disappearing overnight. You didn’t have to worry about these allegations of fake invasions. You didn’t have to worry about the cost of food just skyrocketing or the skyrocketing cost of all of your electronics.”

The Texas Democrat added, “So, you know, I just hope that people remember because seemingly they got amnesia the first time. And so you’ve got opportunities to vote. And I will tell you that every single special election we’ve had, Democrats are swinging no less than 15 points. But honestly, we should be swinging 30 and 40 points because of the level of incompetence and harm that this administration is bringing upon all of us.”

Schiff Claims GOP Will Drop Trump ‘Like Rats Off a Sinking Ship’ if Tariffs Continue

On Thursday, Senator Adam Schiff appeared on MSNBC’s “Deadline” and claiming that the GOP will “abandon” President Donald Trump “like rats off a sinking ship” if he continues to impose tariffs.

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace asked, “I mean, the other thing that’s happened is Donald Trump’s approval rating has plunged. He’s at 41% overall approval and down to 40% on the economy. The tariffs are lower than that. When do you think Republicans will reassert themselves as elected officials?”

Schiff replied, “Well, had he continued, and if he does continue along this tariff, destroy our economy, this self-inflicted wound to our economy, Republicans are going to abandon him like rats off a sinking ship. It’s unsustainable. You already saw Republicans start to abandon him. We brought up a resolution, Tim Kaine did, got four Republican votes, enough to get it passed in the Senate to try to stop these destructive tariffs on Canada.”

“That was Republicans not just speaking privately, not just speaking publicly, but actually voting against the president,” he continued. “And you’re going to see more and more of that, the more destruction he brings to our economy. Just watching this display in the administration, as the president’s aides were out there after this latest flip-flop, saying it wasn’t a flip-flop, it was — it was planned that way. You know, you’re just not smart enough to see the president’s brilliant strategy, his art of the deal.”

Trump Takeover: Kennedy Center Breaks Attendance Record for a Public Event

0

In March, the Kennedy Center created a new all-time attendance record for a public event, even with being boycotted by the Democrats since President Donald Trump’s was elected for the second time.

The public event that broke the attendance record was the Kennedy Center’s “EARTH to SPACE: Arts Breaking the Sky” fireworks show, which drew more than 11,000 attendees.

The Daily Caller reports:

The history-making moment was celebrated amid a flurry of criticism from liberals about President Donald Trump’s takeover of the entertainment facility. Critics voiced concerns about Trump’s understanding and appreciation for the arts when he took control of the Kennedy Center. However, attendance numbers have told a different story. With a focus on shifting away from politically-charged programming, the facility experienced tremendous success with a widely-attended fireworks show.

A Kennedy Center representative noted that 76% of all attendees at the fireworks show had never stepped foot in the venue before. The event was open to the public, with free first-come, first-served tickets available on the Kennedy Center website.

Visitors took in the show on the 360-degree rooftop terrace and flocked to the riverwalk to take in the magic of art as the fireworks filled the skies above the Potomac River. The first 800 visitors were treated to a VIP experience by having the opportunity to send an individual firework into the sky through the cAITM — Cai Guo-Qiang’s custom AI model — web interface.

As far as future shows, Roma Daravi, VP of PR for the Kennedy Center revealed that the center will be offering similar programs in the future.

“It was wonderful to have so many new visitors at the Kennedy Center for Cai Guo-Qiang’s firework showcase. We look forward to their return for more wonderful programming soon. Everyone is welcome here!” Daravi exclaimed.

BREAKING! Hegseth Breaks Down $5B in Wasteful DOD Spending Uncovered by DOGE

On Thursday, Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a memo to announce the Trump administration’s cutting of over $5 billion in “wasteful Defense Department contracts.”

The memorandum lists some of the cuts, which includes: $1.8 billion in consulting contracts to various private sector firms from the Defense Health Agency, $1.4 billion enterprise cloud IT services contract given to a software reseller, and a $500 million Navy contract for business process consulting.

“We’re also terminating in the DEI front 11 more contracts for DEI, climate, COVID-19 response and related non-essential activities across the department,” Hegseth explained. “We are committed to rooting out DEI — root and branch — throughout this department … [And] I’m going to keep looking,”

As the DOD website reports:

He also announced cuts on the academic front, saying that DOD would be pausing over $500 million in funding to a pair of universities that “tolerate antisemitism and support divisive DEI programs.” This is in addition to the $70 million already cut in funding at three other colleges in the past weeks.

Today’s announcement follows Hegseth’s initial March 20, 2025, announcement that the department would be cutting $580 million in programs, contracts and grants.

“If you’re keeping score at home, today’s cuts bring our running total to nearly $6 billion in wasteful spending over the first six weeks of the Department of Government Efficiency effort here at the Defense Department,” Hegseth continued.

Not only did the secretary note the cutting of wasteful spending, but he also stressed just how important it is to take care of our United States veterans and their families. He declared, “We need this money to spend on better healthcare for our war fighters and their families instead of $500/hr business process consulting.”

This comes as a result of the DOD DOGE efforts to root out waste and “drive that back into war-fighting capabilities here at the Defense Department.”

Hegseth first announced that DOGE would be working within DOD during a recorded, on-camera address he made Feb. 20, 2025, regarding cutting excess and refocusing the department’s budget.

“We’re excited to make these cuts on behalf of you, the taxpayer and the warfighters here at the department,” he concluded.
