America First: Nvidia Announces MASSIVE $500B Tech Investment in Texas

0

According to new reports, AI powerhouse Nvidia is planning to invest up to $500 billion in AI productions right here in the great state of Texas. Another win for President Donald Trump and the United States.

Barron’s reports that Nvidia has commissioned more than a million square feet of manufacturing space in Texas AND Arizona to build and test Blackwell chips and AI supercomputers. As this production ramps up, it is set to be the first time Nvidia will be producing this technology entirely within the United States.

Breibart reports:

Nvidia’s Blackwell chips have already started production at TSMC’s chip plants in Phoenix, Arizona. Meanwhile, the company is constructing supercomputer manufacturing plants in partnership with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Mass production at these facilities is expected to ramp up within the next 12-15 months.

The manufacturing of Nvidia’s AI chips and supercomputers for American AI factories is projected to generate hundreds of thousands of jobs and drive trillions of dollars in economic security in the decades ahead.

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang explained, “The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time. Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency.”

The AI chip and supercomputer supply chain is highly complex, requiring the most advanced manufacturing, packaging, assembly, and testing technologies. To support this endeavor, Nvidia is collaborating with Amkor and SPIL for packaging and testing operations in Arizona.

Over the next four years, Nvidia plans to produce up to half a trillion dollars worth of AI infrastructure in the United States through its partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL. These industry-leading companies are deepening their ties with the most powerful company in the AI space, expanding their global footprint while strengthening supply chain resilience.

This cutting-edge technology will power a new type of data center, an “AI factory” of sorts, to fuel the emerging AI industry.

Trump responded to the investment announcement, “I want to thank Jensen. Nvidia is an amazing American company. They wouldn’t have done this without the tariffs.”

MSNBC’s Heilemann: Trump Wants to Deport ‘Anyone,’ Not Just Immigrants

On Monday, MSNBC national affairs analyst John Heilemann appeared on “Morning Joe” and claimed that the Trump administration told the Supreme Court that it can “take anyone in the United States and disappear them to a foreign country.”

MSNBC co-host Jonathan Lemire said, “The White House deliberately chose who they thought were, quote, unsavory characters that there wouldn’t be mass unrest, mass uprising to protest and try to defend them. We should note, president Trump, we heard them on Friday saying, well, we’ll we’ll agree with we’ll defer to the Supreme Court. Well, everything administration has done since then saying no, basically saying, well, that’s not our problem anymore. These people, including Mr. Garcia, are in the custody of El Salvador. We should note the president actually landed last night at Joint Base Andrews, no sign of that man joining him.”

He pressed, “This seems to be the point, right? You and I have talked about this a lot, and you’ve been on this early that the White House wants this fight, they want the confrontation with the courts. They’re having one right now with the Supreme Court. It seems like that they’re not backing down. So what next?”

Heilemann replied, “This is not just about immigrants who are in this country illegally, this is not just about this case. This is not just about this El Salvador. The specifics of this case, as Justice Sotomayor noted last week, the Trump administration’s claim, legally, is that they can take anyone in the United States and disappear them to a foreign country, and that even if they acknowledge that that was an error of any kind, that they are powerless to bring that person back to the country. That’s not jus. about Mr. Garcia. it’s not just about illegal illegal immigrants. It’s not about criminal illegal immigrants, it’s about everybody in the United States. Anybody is what their legal claim is, Justice Sotomayor, as I said, made this very clear last week.”

Heilemann added, “That’s the principle and the legal precedent that’s at stake here, and it is setting up, if there’s anything, we may or may not be in a constitutional crisis already. But if the administration continues to hew to that line, we will be in an unequivocal constitutional crisis, and I think that day is very, very close at hand.”

Zelensky Argues Trump ‘Can’t Understand’ Ukraine War Until He Visits

0

In a new plan of desperation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is begging President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine and see the impact that war has had on the country, claiming that Trump and people in his administration can’t “understand” what is happening without seeing it first hand.

In an interview with CBS News’ 60 Minutes published on Friday, Zelensky was asked if he would ever invite Trump Ukraine, to which he replied, “With pleasure. Please. I always wanted very much, that’s what I wanted to do, I did it… I always said that, we want you to come, to come and to see.”

He continued, “You think you understand what’s happening here, OK, we respect your position… everybody thinks they understand… but please. Before any kind of decisions, any kind of format of negotiations, come to see people — civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, children destroyed or dead, wounded or just walking in the streets.”

Zelensky also recalled his visit to the Oval Office in February, in which things got heated between himself and Vice President JD Vance when he argued, “Have you ever been to Ukraine, have you seen what problems we have? Come once”.

Vance replied that foreign leaders who do visit are given a “propaganda tour” which is carefully curated. Clearly two months later, this is still a sore spot for Zelensky.

“We see this war differently,” he said, “I am in Ukraine and I understand what happened. But he does not understand at all. He speaks in the same language as the Russians… We will not prepare anything [for a VIP visit], it will not be theatre, with actors in the streets. We don’t do this, we don’t need it. You can go where you want in any city that has been under attack”.

Fauxcahontas Warren Demands Congress ‘Take Tariff Authority’ from Trump

On Sunday, Senator Elizabeth Warren appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” and demanded that Congress take tariff authority away from President Donald Trump, declaring that it’s a “mistake” for him to be “playing red light, green light” with tariffs.

Warren argued, “It is a mistake to have the President of the United States out there just playing red light, green light and saying, oh, this morning I woke up and think the tariffs should be this big. Now, I think they should be this big; now, I think they should be somewhere else. And I got to say, saying, well, I will continue to make those decisions and I’m going to hold off on these tariffs for 90 days, that doesn’t put the economy in a better place. That doesn’t put investors in a better place.”

She continued, “Congress has a job right now, and that is to step up and take this authority away from Donald Trump. He has proven how he will use it. But remember the statute that he’s now using starts with a declaration of emergency. And in that same statute, Congress has the responsibility to decide is it really an emergency or not? Are we really in an emergency with Belgium right now? Are we really in an emergency with South Korea?”

Warren added, “Congress can say no, there’s no emergency. It’s a resolution. And if we do that, it takes Donald Trump back to the trade as we had it before. Tariffs are then decided with Congress having an important say in it. That’s an important signal to the rest of the world. Right now it’s a no curbs on Donald Trump and that means chaos and corruption. We have an opportunity in Congress to vote that down and to say, no, we are going to use tariffs in a far more targeted way.”

Helene: Half Dozen Temporary Housing Units STILL Occupied After 200 Days

0

Six state temporary housing units are occupied in western North Carolina, 200 days after Hurricane Helene caused $60 billion in damage and left 107 dead. The storm, which hit Florida on September 26, continues to impact the region, with state leaders requesting funding for recovery efforts.

The Center Square reports:

Six state temporary housing units are occupied as western North Carolina continues to get on its feet from Hurricane Helene, the state auditor’s office says.

Two are in McDowell County, and there is one each in Ashe, Avery, Haywood and Watauga counties.

The 29th week of recovery began over the weekend. State leaders and congressional representatives are continuing to request funding from Washington and Raleigh for what is arguably the state’s worst natural disaster.

The storm, which came ashore in Florida on Sept. 26, dissipated over the mountains of three states and left 107 dead and an estimated $60 billion damage in the Tarheel State. Monday marked 200 days since the hurricane, according to the auditor’s dashboard.

The analysis says 6,930 households “indicated a housing need and were determined to be eligible for housing assistance.” This is the number of total housed (2,727), seeking assistance (503) and not utilizing assistance households (3,700).

The number housed represents eligible for FEMA rental assistance or FEMA transitional sheltering assistance. Seeking assistance means these households are in need but not marked eligible for rental or transitional specifically; the households may be utilizing another form of shelter, the report says.

The number not utilizing assistance means the households are eligible for rental or transitional and chose not to use it.

Buncombe County, where Asheville is the county seat, was among the hardest hit regions. Nearly one-third (870) of the report’s 2,727 total housed is from the county. There are 727 of those on rental assistance, and the remaining 143 utilizing hotels. The county’s seeking assistance number, as of Saturday, is 131.

Report: Georgia Man Accused of Threatening Tulsi Gabbard

A Georgia man, Aliakbar Mohammad Amin, is facing federal charges for threatening Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and her family. Amin allegedly sent threatening messages and images, including one showing a firearm pointed at Gabbard and her husband.

The Center Square reports:

A Georgia man is facing federal charges of threatening Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and her family, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Northern Georgia.

Aliakbar Mohammad Amin, 24, of Lilburn, is accused of sending threats that included statements, “You and your family are going to die soon” and “I will personally do the job if necessary,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Monday.

One statement said, “Prepare to die, you, Tulsi, and everyone you hold dear. America will burn,” the federal agencies said.

Amin sent the messages between March 29 and April 1, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Investigators said they found social media threats, including an image that showed a firearm pointed at Gabbard. A second one showed a firearm pointed at Gabbard and her husband.

Amin is being charged under Title 18, United States Code, Section 875, which covers threats made across state lines.

“Threatening to harm public officials is a criminal act that cannot be excused as political discourse,” said interim U.S. Attorney Richard S. Moultrie Jr. “Our Office, in coordination with our law enforcement partners, will vigorously prosecute individuals who commit these acts of violence.”

Amin will remain in custody until trial, according to an order by a U.S. Magistrate. The FBI arrested him on Friday.

Kevin O’Leary Goes Scorched Earth on MSNBC Host (WATCH)

On Thursday, Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary appeared on MSNBC and went OFF on MSNBC host Jose Diaz-Balart.

O’Leary declared that President Donald Trump should absolutely slap tariffs on China, suggesting he should implement 1,000% tariffs on the communist country for manipulating the entire world.

“When you shut down a factory, you put thousands, if not tens of thousands of people unemployed in China,” he said. “They take burning torches just like in a Frankenstein movie up to the castle, and that’s a bad outcome for the supreme leader.”

“I’ve had enough!” the Canadian businessman declared. “I don’t care about the volatility.”

“These guys don’t play by the rules!” O’Leary added, “Now is the time to settle this because we may not be the largest economy forever, but right now we can squeeze China to comply with the laws and get a level playing field.”

Dem Rep Says She ‘Regrets Voting for Laken Riley Act’

Rep. Jahana Hayes is now expressing regret for voting for the Laken Riley Act, claiming that the Trump administration’s attitude towards immigrants is undermining bipartisan cooperation on border security.

She clarified that Democrats support deporting criminals, but oppose the Laken Riley act due to concerns about due process.

Hayes said during her CNN town hall appearance on Thursday, “I voted for that piece of legislation because of a very specific provision, and it was if it caused injury or death to a police officer, which was one small piece of it. There were other things about, to your point, Kaitlan, someone who…was charged but hadn’t been convicted.”

She continued, “As I’ve thought about it, over the last couple of months, I probably would have voted differently. It’s a vote that I regret. But coming into this Congress, I trusted that this administration, we would have some — that they wanted to have border security, they wanted to work with Democrats, that we could actually move forward. I’m not really sure of that, because I’ve seen the rhetoric that has come out and the attacks that have been targeted towards immigrants. So, I am very cautious and careful when I’m negotiating my votes moving forward.”

Hayes later added that “Democrats are not opposed to someone who has committed a crime, or is here illegally” being deported. But the opponents of the Laken Riley Act had due process concerns.

China Escalates Trade War, Increases Tariffs on U.S. Goods to 125%

0

China is escalated a dangerous game of “measure the manhood” between Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump.

On Friday, the Chinese Finance Ministry called Trump’s reciprocal tariffs on China a “unilateral bullying and coercion,” tactic, thereby raising their tariffs on U.S. goods from 84% to 125%, effective on Saturday.

The Ministry announced, “The United States’ imposition of abnormally high tariffs on China seriously violates international trade rules, basic economic laws and common sense, and is a completely unilateral bullying and coercion practice.”

“Given that at the current tariff level, there is no market acceptance for U.S. goods exported to China, if the U.S. continues to impose tariffs on Chinese goods exported to the United States, China will ignore it,” the Ministry added.

According to the White House, the effective U.S. tariff on Chinese goods could be raised as high as 145% for some categories of goods due to the fact that the 125% rate is on top of a 20% tariff that is already in place.

The Tax Foundation’s Center for Federal Tax Policy warned Trump that a 145% tariff would cease trade across the Pacific.

“It depends on how narrowly the tariff is applied or how broadly it’s applied, but generally if you get north of a triple-digit tariff, you are cutting off most trade,” the center’s vice president of federal tax policy Erica York said. “There may still be some things without any substitutes that companies just have to foot the bill, but for the most part, that cuts it off.”

On Friday, Xi stated that a tariff war would have “no winners.”
