“A Giant of His Generation”: Trump to Award Medal of Freedom to Kirk

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Nation’s Highest Honor: President Trump announced that Charlie Kirk will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously, recognizing his legacy as a leader of America’s conservative youth movement.
  • Champion of Liberty: Trump called Kirk “a giant of his generation” and praised him as “a champion of liberty, and an inspiration to millions and millions of people.”
  • Historic Recognition: The award places Kirk among the nation’s greatest defenders of freedom, honoring his work to promote free markets, faith, and American exceptionalism.

President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will award Charlie Kirk, the late founder of Turning Point USA, with the nation’s highest civilian honor: the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“Charlie was a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty, and an inspiration to millions and millions of people,” Trump said. “Our prayers are with his wonderful wife, Eric, and his beautiful children.”

Kirk, who was assassinated this week during a Turning Point USA event in Utah, leaves behind a legacy of grassroots organizing, fearless defense of American exceptionalism, and unapologetic advocacy for free enterprise and limited government. His work built Turning Point USA from a small startup into a national force for conservative youth activism, breaking the left’s stranglehold on college campuses and inspiring a new generation to value capitalism and faith.

Trump emphasized that the award is not just about honoring Kirk’s life, but about recognizing the movement he created. “I’m pleased to announce that I will soon be awarding Charlie Kirk posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The date of the ceremony will be announced, and I can only guarantee you one thing, that we will have a very big crowd,” the president declared.

The Medal of Freedom has been awarded to presidents, business leaders, and cultural icons, but rarely to a figure as young as Kirk. For conservatives, it underscores how deeply he reshaped the conversation on liberty and entrepreneurship in America.

Kirk’s voice has been silenced, but his impact endures—and Trump’s gesture ensures his name will be remembered alongside the greatest defenders of freedom in American history.

FBI Recovers Rifle Used in Charlie Kirk Assassination, Manhunt Intensifies

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Weapon Recovered: FBI confirmed they found a high-powered bolt-action rifle believed to be the weapon used to kill Charlie Kirk, along with other forensic evidence.
  • Suspect Tracked: Investigators traced the shooter’s path across the university roof, through stairwells, and into a nearby neighborhood; suspect is believed to be college-aged.
  • Investigation Ongoing: Two individuals initially detained were cleared, with officials urging the public not to harass them while the FBI and state police continue the manhunt.

Federal investigators announced Thursday that they have recovered what they believe to be the rifle used in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

“This morning, I can tell you that we have recovered what we believe is the weapon … that was used in yesterday’s shooting. [It] is a high-powered bolt-action rifle,” FBI special agent in charge Robert Bohls told reporters. The weapon was found abandoned in a wooded area near the suspect’s escape route.

The FBI is now analyzing the rifle, along with other evidence: “Investigators have also collected footwear impression, a palm print and forearm imprints for analysis,” Bohls said. Officials confirmed they also have clear video footage of the suspect, believed to be college-aged, though it will not yet be released publicly.

Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason described the suspect’s movements in detail: “We have tracked his movements onto the campus, through the stairwells up to the roof, across the roof to a shooting location. After the shooting, we were able to track his movements as he moved to the other side of the building, jumped off of the building and fled off of the campus and into a neighborhood.”

Authorities stressed that while two individuals were initially detained, they were cleared after questioning. Mason urged the public not to harass those wrongly swept into the investigation.

The search for Kirk’s killer continues, and investigators say they are confident an arrest is imminent. But the bigger truth remains: a conservative leader was assassinated on American soil for his ideas. For a movement built on free speech, entrepreneurship, and liberty, justice cannot come soon enough.

The Death of a Lion: Remembering Charlie Kirk

0

America lost a bold voice for faith and freedom. Charlie Kirk—patriot, father, and unapologetic Christian—was shot and killed during a campus event at Utah Valley University, in what Utah’s governor called a “political assassination.”

Kirk was more than a commentator; he was a builder. As founder of Turning Point USA, he mobilized a new generation to love their country, defend free markets, and believe—without apology—in American exceptionalism. His entrepreneurial energy created a national platform on campuses where it’s often hardest to be conservative.

Authorities say the attack appeared targeted; a manhunt is underway as state and federal agencies pursue the perpetrator. This was evil, plain and simple—and it must be met with justice.

In moments like this, politics fades and first things come first. Kirk never hid the source of his hope: Jesus Christ. He spoke openly about truth, grace, and personal responsibility—and he matched words with action, giving young people the courage to stand tall. He understood that liberty is a gift from God, and that free enterprise—when paired with virtue—lets families prosper and communities thrive.

Leaders across the spectrum condemned the killing; Utah’s governor called it a “political assassination.” President Trump mourned and praised Kirk’s impact on America’s youth; reporting indicates he will award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously. We grieve, but we also give thanks for a life poured out for God and country.

Tonight, we pray for Erika and their children, for comfort that surpasses understanding. Charlie’s race is finished, but his message endures: faith over fear, truth over tyranny, and America—under God—still worth fighting for. May we honor his legacy not with despair, but with courage, conviction, and the relentless pursuit of freedom

JD Vance Honors Charlie Kirk: “A True Friend” and Champion for America

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Friendship with Impact: Vance shared how a simple 2017 message from Kirk grew into a friendship that shaped his Senate run, his vice presidency, and the Trump-Vance administration.
  • Champion of Ideas: Kirk was remembered as a leader who loved debate, embraced humility, and lived out American exceptionalism by empowering young conservatives through Turning Point USA.
  • Faith and Family First: Vance praised Kirk’s devotion to his wife Erika, their children, and his unwavering Christian faith, saying Kirk now speaks “to the big man directly” on behalf of the country he loved.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination at a Turning Point USA event in Utah, Vice President JD Vance delivered a powerful tribute, calling the conservative leader a “true friend” whose influence shaped both his own career and President Donald Trump’s movement.

Vance shared how their friendship began in 2017, when Kirk sent him a message after a television appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show. “That moment of kindness began a friendship that lasted until today,” Vance wrote on X.

The Vice President praised Kirk’s love of ideas, his humility, and his openness to debate—virtues on full display in the moment his life was taken. “Like me, he was skeptical of Donald Trump in 2016. Like me, he came to see President Trump as the only figure capable of moving American politics away from the globalism that had dominated for our entire lives,” Vance said.

Kirk, Vance noted, was essential to his own Senate victory, from strategy to grassroots organizing, and even pushed for Vance’s selection as Trump’s running mate. More than a strategist, Kirk was a man of faith and family. “Charlie genuinely believed in and loved Jesus Christ… He was so proud of Erika and the two kids. He was so happy to be a father.”

Vance closed with words that echoed the faith Kirk lived by: “God didn’t answer those prayers, and that’s OK. He had other plans. And now that Charlie is in heaven, I’ll ask him to talk to big man directly… You ran a good race, my friend. We’ve got it from here.”

“Conservatives Are Being Hunted”: Sen. Moreno Sounds Alarm After Kirk’s Death

0

Key Takeaways:

  • A Vision Realized: Moreno remembered Kirk as a young man with an audacious idea—mobilizing students to defend America’s future—that grew into Turning Point USA, one of the nation’s most influential conservative groups.
  • Political Targeting: He called Kirk’s murder a “political assassination,” blaming the attack on left-wing hostility toward free speech and conservative thought.
  • Fight for Liberty: Moreno warned that Republicans and conservatives are being “hunted” for their beliefs, stressing the need for courage to defend American values and debate in the public square.

On Fox News Channel’s Ingraham Angle Wednesday night, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) reacted to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk with a somber warning.

“I’m actually going to be honest, probably, like a lot of people who knew Charlie, I don’t think I’ve processed completely,” Moreno said. He recalled first meeting Kirk when he was just a kid with a big dream. “He had this big idea that he’s going to transform young people, make them engage in the future of this country. And I got the opportunity to see him grow this little idea into this incredible organization.”

That “little idea” became Turning Point USA—an entrepreneurial success story that reshaped American politics by mobilizing young conservatives and breaking the left’s monopoly on college campuses. Kirk’s vision empowered a new generation to embrace free enterprise, limited government, and American exceptionalism.

But Moreno was blunt about the price Kirk paid for that vision. “Republicans and conservatives are being hunted right now,” he warned. “This is a political assassination. This was a lunatic hunted because of his views, because of his willingness to share his opinions, which is what the left fears more than anything else, because they have no opinions.”

Moreno’s words cut through the noise: Kirk’s murder wasn’t random—it was a direct attack on free speech and conservative values. And as America mourns, it’s a sobering reminder that the fight for liberty isn’t theoretical. It’s real, it’s costly, and it demands courage.

Trump Mourns Charlie Kirk: “The Great, and Even Legendary” Patriot

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Presidential Tribute: Trump confirmed Kirk’s death and called him “The Great, and even Legendary,” praising his ability to connect with America’s youth and inspire millions.
  • American Success Story: Kirk built Turning Point USA into a powerhouse, mobilizing students to embrace free markets, individual liberty, and faith in God.
  • Legacy of Courage: Kirk was remembered not only for politics but for boldly sharing Christ, defending capitalism, and championing American exceptionalism for the next generation.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump confirmed what millions of Americans were praying they would never hear: Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has died after being shot at an event at Utah Valley University.

In a heartfelt Truth Social post, Trump honored Kirk as a once-in-a-generation leader. “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Kirk’s meteoric rise from a teenager with a vision to the head of one of the most powerful conservative youth movements in history was itself an American success story. He understood that free markets, individual liberty, and faith in God were the bedrock of national renewal. His Turning Point USA events drew thousands, inspiring students to challenge the suffocating groupthink of the left and embrace American exceptionalism.

Trump’s tribute underscored Kirk’s impact—not just on politics, but on culture, family, and faith. In an age when too many politicians chase polls, Kirk chased truth. He spoke boldly about Christ, unapologetically defended capitalism, and gave young Americans the courage to dream big, build, and believe in their country.

On Wednesday evening, Trump released a video statement on Kirk’s death. “This is a dark moment for America,” he said. “For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals.”

“This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now,” Trump continued. “My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it…”

“An assassin tried to silence him with a bullet, but he failed because together, we will ensure that his voice, his message, and his legacy will live on for countless generations to come,” the president added. “Today, because of this heinous act, Charlie’s voice has become bigger and grander than ever before.”

Charlie Kirk’s voice has been silenced, but his message lives on. And as Trump reminded the nation, America will never forget him.

Rand Paul Cries Trump’s Venezuela Strike ‘Unconstitutional’

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Paul’s Pushback: Sen. Rand Paul warned that Trump’s strike on a Venezuelan drug boat was unconstitutional, arguing Congress must declare war before such action.
  • Constitution vs. Crisis: Paul compared it to raiding a fentanyl house—saying due process is required—while critics noted the traffickers are foreign terrorists flooding America with poison.
  • Action Matters: Trump’s decisive strike reflects his America First approach: protect U.S. families, secure borders, and confront narco-trafficking before it reaches American shores.

On Tuesday’s Will Cain Show, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the Trump administration’s military strike against a Venezuelan drug-trafficking boat lacked constitutional authority. Paul, a longtime libertarian voice, warned that if such actions became “policy,” America could end up blowing up ships “off of Miami” without due process.

“The reason we board them before we blow the crap out of them is some of them don’t have drugs,” Paul said. He compared it to busting a fentanyl house in your neighborhood: “Do you go over there and just kill them or burn them? No, you go to a judge and you get a warrant.”

But Cain pushed back: “They’ve been designated a foreign terrorist organization and they’re importing a chemical that’s killing tens of thousands of Americans.”

Paul doubled down: “Not by Congress—not by Congress, by the president. That’s not constitutional. Under the Constitution, Congress must declare war.”

Here’s the reality: Paul is right to value constitutional limits. Conservatives believe in checks and balances, not executive overreach. But Trump is also right to act decisively when cartels and foreign gangs flood our communities with poison. That’s not a distant problem—it’s killing Americans every day.

The free market thrives on law and order, not narco-anarchy. Taking on traffickers abroad is part of protecting American families and the U.S. economy at home. Trump’s America First agenda is about more than prosperity—it’s about safety, sovereignty, and strength.

And while Paul raises good questions, the bottom line is this: Americans don’t want excuses. They want results.

No Leniency: Trump Admin Seeks Max Penalty for Charlotte Stabbing Suspect

Attorney General Pam Bondi is making it clear: violent repeat offenders will no longer get a free pass in Trump’s America. On Tuesday, Bondi announced federal prosecution of Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, the career criminal accused of brutally murdering 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee who came here seeking safety.

“Iryna Zarutska was a young woman living the American dream — her horrific murder is a direct result of failed soft-on-crime policies that put criminals before innocent people,” Bondi posted on X. “We are seeking the maximum penalty for this unforgivable crime, and he will never again see the light of day as a free man.”

FBI Director Kash Patel called the attack “a disgraceful act that should never happen in America,” adding that the Bureau “immediately surged into action to ensure justice is served.” Patel praised President Trump’s commitment to restoring public safety, thanking Bondi for delivering the federal charges that will keep Brown behind bars for life.

The case has sparked outrage across the country, with lawmakers demanding accountability for judges who repeatedly released Brown back onto the streets. Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) said he will introduce legislation to “hold judges accountable when violent repeat offenders they release commit new crimes.”

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy also weighed in, saying taxpayer dollars should not fund cities that can’t keep public transit safe.

President Trump spoke directly to Zarutska’s grieving family: “They’re evil people. We have to be able to handle that. If we don’t handle that, we don’t have a country.”

Fetterman Delivers Reality Check to His Own Party on Socialism (WATCH)

0

Key Takeaways:

  • Breaking Ranks: Fetterman called Democrats flirting with socialism “morons,” citing lessons from Croatians who lived through communism.
  • Polling Problem: A Gallup poll shows 66% of Democrats view socialism favorably, while support for capitalism among Democrats has dropped to 42%.
  • Party Divide: Even Democrats like Rep. Tom Suozzi and Rep. Laura Gillen are pushing back against socialist candidates, saying their policies are “too extreme” for mainstream America.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is saying what many Americans already know: socialism is a nightmare. In a surprising break from his own party, Fetterman blasted Democrats cozying up to socialist ideas, flat-out calling them “morons.”

When asked about a new Gallup poll showing that 66 percent of Democrats now view socialism favorably while only 42 percent still back capitalism, Fetterman recalled a telling moment abroad. “I literally was in a former communist nation, and I asked that. I said, ‘Some people in my party, some of the lefties are talking about socialism now. What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘That’s the worst thing ever. You would never want to live here… you are morons. It was a nightmare for us, and now we are a free market nation.’ It was Croatia.”

The senator added that Croatians were “mystified” why Americans would even entertain socialism after so many nations have suffered under it. He’s right: free markets lift nations, while socialism suffocates them.

Meanwhile, Democrat socialists like New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani push city-run grocery stores and anti-police policies that even fellow Democrats admit are too extreme. Rep. Tom Suozzi suggested they should “create their own party,” while Rep. Laura Gillen said Mamdani is “too extreme to lead.”

Fetterman isn’t exactly a conservative hero, but credit where it’s due: he’s acknowledging reality. Socialism has always failed. Capitalism, limited government, and individual liberty are what make America strong—and even Democrats abroad are starting to admit it.
