Sen. Rand Paul stepped up to the plate and suggested a real disruptor like Elon Musk should take over as Speaker of the House. Enough with the career politicians who do nothing but maintain the status quo! In a Thursday morning post on X, Paul made it clear that the swamp needs shaking up.
“The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress,” he began.
The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress . . .
Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk . . . think about it . . . nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’…

Rand continued, “Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk . . . think about it . . . nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds).”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene echoed this sentiment, showing her willingness to support Musk as a replacement for Speaker Mike Johnson . Finally, some Republicans are standing up against the establishment!
“I’d be open to supporting @elonmusk for Speaker of the House. DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency,” Greene said.
“The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday. This could be the way,” she added.

Musk, co-leading President-elect Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), is exactly what we need—someone focused on cutting spending and reducing government size.
Alongside fellow DOGE co-leader Vivek Ramaswamy, Musk spearheaded opposition against a bipartisan spending deal, with Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance rallying Republicans to reject it. This is leadership!
Of course, Democrats couldn’t help but criticize Musk, trying to undermine his influence by claiming he was steering Trump’s decisions. Typical!
“It’s one thing when you have Donald Trump governing by tweet, as he did in his first term, where he was in communication with Congress, but now you have Elon Musk, an unelected oligarch, governing by tweet,” Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman (N.Y.) whined on CNN’s “AC360.”
“This is absurd,” he added.
The fact remains: The Speaker doesn’t need to be an elected member of the House. It’s high time we consider outsiders who can bring real change.
