Kamala Harris Plots Another Power Grab — America Beware!

It’s absolutely laughable that Kamala Harris, who has been nothing short of a disaster as Vice President, is being pushed by her advisors to run for governor of California. This is the same woman who was polling as the most unpopular vice president in American history! Yet, somehow, after Biden’s campaign suspension, her favorability rating miraculously climbed above 50 percent. What a joke!

CNN’s Isaac Dovere reports that Harris’ top aides and close friends are urging her to pursue the governorship in 2026. They point to her so-called “rise” in popularity during her brief White House stint. But let’s not forget, this rise came after Biden’s campaign suspension—hardly an endorsement of her capabilities.

And then there’s the issue of money. Her campaign raised over a billion dollars but ended up in debt! How does that even happen? Political strategists and White House aides have rightly blamed former Obama aides like David Plouffe and Jen O’Malley Dillon for their atrocious money management.

Sure, Harris has been elected statewide in California three times, but what did she actually accomplish as attorney general or U.S. Senator? Not much if you ask me.

The Democrats are split on whether she should run for president again or try for governor. After speaking with more than a dozen current and former Harris advisers and other top California Democratic Party figures, it’s clear they’re just scrambling to find any position where she might have a chance.

If she does decide to run for governor, some potential candidates told CNN they’d step aside for her. What a pathetic display of loyalty to someone who’s done nothing but fail upwards!

“What she’s been saying to people over the last couple of weeks, donors, other supporters that she’s been talking with, is you haven’t seen the last of me, I’m not going quietly into the night,” Devore said. “Advisors, people close to her, are debating about what that means. They do not want her final official act ever to be essentially certifying Donald Trump’s win over her, especially four years after January 6. And so they look at this governor’s race in California in 2026, and it seems to them like a layup, essentially, that she would probably clear the field or mostly clear the field, and she would get to be governor of California.”

Her advisors think she should announce by summer 2025 if she’s running for governor. But let’s be real: running for governor would be more of a capstone than a stepping stone for someone like Harris.

One advisor even said running for governor could hurt her chances if she wants to run for president in 2028. “If you’re thinking of running for president in 2028, the worst thing you can do is run for governor in 2026.” No kidding!

Another source close to Harris disagreed though—because apparently logic doesn’t apply here—and argued she’d have a good shot at winning the presidency if she skips the gubernatorial race.

While Harris’ intentions remain unclear (surprise!), those around her are unanimous in believing she’ll run for one of these positions. Because clearly Democrats can’t learn from their mistakes.
