Hollywoke Casts Queer Black Woman as Jesus in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’

Hollyweird has done it again….they’ve gone completely over the top and mocked Jesus in the most insane way possible.

According to reports, Cynthia Erivo was selected to represent Jesus Christ in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” in August at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

NBC News reported on Tuesday’s that the “Wicked” star will be featured in the production.

So of all the people in Hollywood…..the only person they could find to play Jesus was a queer, black woman?                                                                                                            Give me a break.

Of course Erivo is giddily going along with the charade, writing on instagram that she “can’t wait” for the musical and that she will be “just a little busy this summer.”

Despite starring in movies, this will be her first return to the stage since her Broadway debut nearly a decade ago, where her role was Celie Harris in “The Color Purple.”

“Superstar” is the first summer musical at The Hollywood Bowl since it shut down in 2020 for COVID-19.

“We missed the musicals for a few years, and I think that one is a good one to return with,” L.A. Phil President and Chief Executive Kim Noltemy boasted. “Whether it be staffing or psychological transition, we needed time to get back up to running like the machine we can be when everything’s going well.”
