Dr. Who Star FUMES Over ‘Villain’ Trump During BAFTA Awards Speech

On Sunday, Doctor Who star David Tennant (lovingly known as “The Doctor”) made a fool of himself at the BAFTA Film Awards when he went on a rant about “villain” Donald Trump – even taking jabs at the president’s physical appearance.

During Tennant’s opening speech at the awards show, he spoke about films like The Brutalist and The Apprentice. Then he used that opportunity to jab, claiming that The Brutalist is “a film about incredible architecture,” and that “apart from” Trump’s hair in the film The Apprentice, it was “the boldest architecture in film.”

“Let’s make some noise for the sublime, The Brutalist,” he said. “A film about incredible architecture, in fact it’s the boldest architecture in film this year, apart from Donald Trump’s hair in The Apprentice.”

Tennant continued, “Donald Trump — of course — he says he hasn’t seen The Apprentice because it’s a 15, it’s not on Nickelodeon.”

“Donald Trump…. I’m worried, I’ve said his name three times, it’s like Beetlejuice. I’ve summoned him,” he said, and then alluded to Trump being a villain. “Talking of villains. We’ve had many this year, not just Nosferatu.”

This isn’t his first time belittling the president, as he took jabs at Trump during last year’s BAFTA Film Awards as well, in which he claims “a child’s brain” was “put in an adult’s body.”

“And last this year, one of those may be reelected president,” Tennant added at the time.

What an embarrassment. As a Dr. Who fan, I do not claim Tennant.
