DOJ Exposed! Dozens of Undercover Agents at Jan. 6 Riot! (Watch Now)

In a recent revelation, the inspector general for the Department of Justice admitted that at least 26 undercover federal agents were present during the January 6th protest at the U.S. Capitol, which escalated into a riot. This confirmation puts to rest long-standing speculations and accusations about the presence and actions of these agents on that day.

These undercover operatives, referred to as “confidential human sources,” are typically used by the DOJ to gather information for potential criminal charges against others. Sometimes, these individuals are even permitted by the government to break certain laws to protect their undercover status; however, Inspector General Michael Horowitz indicated that this was not applicable in this scenario.

According to a report from the Washington Examiner, Horowitz’s findings shed light on an aspect of the event that has been shrouded in mystery for some time. The 84-page report clarifies that most of these sources were unpaid and embedded within restricted areas among other rioters. Four FBI sources reportedly entered the Capitol alongside them. However, Horowitz emphasized that none of these agents were authorized by the FBI to enter or engage in illegal activities within the Capitol building.

Despite their unauthorized entry into restricted zones, these agents have not faced any legal repercussions. Meanwhile, Matthew Graves’ activist agenda has led to approximately 1,500 individuals being charged with various offenses related to their participation in the riot. Many of these charges involve trespassing and have resulted in prosecutors seeking jail time for those involved. More severe cases included acts like vandalism or assaulting law enforcement officers.

The only fatality recorded on January 6th was Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed protester who was shot without warning by a Capitol Police officer—a situation where subsequent investigations saw protection extended towards the officer involved.

The delay in confirming these details fueled speculation suggesting possible involvement or orchestration by law enforcement agencies during the riot. While efforts were made by authorities like President Donald Trump—who offered National Guard troops—to prevent significant violence at the Capitol on that day, such offers were turned down by Democrats at both city and federal levels.
