On Tuesday, Anderson Cooper went into full on MELTDOWN MODE and cussed out a Republican guest who defended the Trump administration’s efforts to root out fraud and waste from our federal budget.
President Donald Trump and DOGE leader Elon Musk announced a shocking series of findings regarding federal spending, including the fact that money from the Federal Emergency Relief Agency (FEMA) spent a whopping $59 million on “luxury hotels” for illegal immigrants living in New York City.
Absolutely insane considering we literally have Americans displaced from storms in North Carolina, living in tents with their children after their homes were completely wiped away.
New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu told Cooper that money should have gone to Americans suffering in North Carolina instead of illegal immigrants.
This kicked Cooper into an absolute fit as he didn’t believe Musk’s conclusion was factually accurate.
“Some of the details that have come out, like the $59 million spent on luxury hotels, it’s actually not– ” Cooper began.
“You’re talking about the FEMA money? The FEMA money that was used for migrants? That’s okay now?” Sununu asserted.
“No, I’m not… I’m not saying it’s okay. Don’t put words in my mouth,” Cooper replied.
“So, would you stop that? Stop that process?” Sununu asked.
“Don’t be a dick,” Cooper responded. “What I’m saying is that the portrayal by him is not factually accurate. He’s talking about luxury hotels.”
His argument continued, “They’re… you can… I- I’m not as bi… look, I was in hurricane Katrina, I saw what FEMA does!”
“Until he sends you a personal text, I get it,” Sununu appeared to say.
Cooper then leans back in his chair and rolls his eyes, clearly defeated but realizes he has no argument.
WATCH:
Former NH Governor Chris Sununu just completely destroyed Anderson Cooper in a back and forth about Elon Musk and DOGE.
Cooper responded by angrily telling Sununu to not be a "d*ck" on live tv.
Children are watching CNN right now and the face of their network just lost it. WOW. pic.twitter.com/KtpBNmRhbr
