On Wednesday, Vice President and former Marine Corps veteran JD Vance visited Marine Corps Base Quantico, where he not only served lunch to service members and interacted with Marines, but had a chance to hit the range to fire an M240B medium machine gun.
Videos of Vance shooting the machine gun have gone viral on social media, and for good reason. Check this out:

After serving lunch to service members, Vance also delivered a message from President Donald Trump. He said that Trump “wanted me to tell you two things. First, that he loves you. And second, that he’s proud of you.”
As a former Marine himself, the vice president was able to connect to the service members and shared how his service shaped his entire life. Vance also expressed gratitude towards the Marines for their dedication and professionalism.
He continued, “We don’t care who you are, where you came from. We don’t care what skin color you are. We care about excellence, and we care about patriotism. And if you are awesome and you are a patriotic young Marine, then we are going to do everything that we can to make you the most lethal fighting force the world has ever seen.”

Afterwards, Quantico Town Mayor Kevin Brown boasted, “When I see Vice President Vance at events, both here and abroad, you can definitely see the Marine in him. It’s reassuring to know we have someone with that background in the White House advising the President.”
