On Friday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene proposed tossing foreign news outlets out of the White House briefing room and only allowing American media to be present.
Greene’s comments came after a video posted on X by Gunther Eagleman showed the White House press briefing, during which a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about federal agency staffing, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) following Wednesday night’s crash between an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter.
She reposted Eagleman’s tweet, giving props to Leavitt’s work and also slammed the reporter for having a foreign accent. Greene wrote, “@PressSec is doing a wonderful job! Bringing sanity and common sense and throwing it in the faces of the nasty legacy media. How about that accent from that reporter? I think we need to throw out all the foreign press! American media first.”

Should foreign press be kicked from the briefings completely? Should they be allowed to stay but moved to the back of room?
