The Biden-Harris administration, through its Department of Justice, is prioritizing its political agenda over election integrity by suing Alabama for taking necessary steps to clean up its voter rolls. Instead of backing efforts to ensure fair elections, they seem intent on keeping potential noncitizens and illegal aliens on the lists as we approach the critical 2024 election.

The Justice Department has launched a baseless lawsuit against Alabama and its secretary of state, accusing them of violating federal law by attempting to update voter rolls too close to the Nov. 5 general election.
While states are permitted to update their voter registrations before elections, federal law requires these actions to occur more than 90 days prior. It appears Democrats are seizing any chance to block Republican initiatives aimed at protecting our electoral system.
On August 13, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen boldly announced a crackdown on what his office identified as “noncitizen voters.” His thorough investigation found that over 3,500 registered individuals were assigned noncitizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security. Yet, the DOJ seems more concerned with shielding these alleged voters than ensuring honest elections.
The Justice Department claimed that this announcement was made just 84 days before the election, supposedly breaching the National Voter Registration Act. Their statement insisted that Alabama should rectify any confusion from its list maintenance mailings sent in violation of federal law. However, one must question if this is merely another Democrat strategy to sow discord and chaos.
Allen’s office refrained from commenting on the lawsuit due to ongoing litigation but issued a statement affirming his “Constitutional duty to ensure that only Americans vote in our elections.” It’s high time someone defended American citizens and safeguarded our democratic processes from being compromised by those without legal voting rights.
